Letter from the Mayor

I would like to welcome you to the Town of Elsmere, “A Wonderful Place to Live”.  As the mayor I want to invite you to come and enjoy our town’s facilities and events.  We have beautiful parkland, multiple playgrounds, a modern library and the friendliest people in the state.  During the year we have the pleasure of sponsoring several events.  In the spring we start off with the Community Yard Sale followed closely by Town- Wide Clean-Up Day.  As the warm summer days approach the parks and playgrounds come alive with the sound of children playing.  The 4th of July celebration is an event enjoyed by young and old.  There are games, events, food and a spectacular fireworks display to commemorate our Nation’s birthday.  Events for the autumn are in the planning stages.  The annual Holiday Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting conclude and eventful year.  I hope you will check back to mark these dates on your calendar and note new events as they are announced.

Going forward we will face the challenges together.  I am committed to serving the Town, staying focused on the issues that will best serve the residents, and continuing to find innovative solutions.  I would like to encourage all residents to participate in the decision making process.  Please let your concerns, suggestions, ideas, and problems be heard.  Come to Council meetings if at all possible.  Never hesitate to contact me by email or telephone. I will always be accessible.  Help me to keep the decision making process transparent, the administration of services fair and responsive.  Let your voice be heard.
